Power in the Press
I recently wrote my first media release. It was a bit surreal and felt like I was finally playing with the professionals. But the real magic happened after I sent it! I got a response! It was from a staff writer at The Toledo Blade and they wanted to come do a full interview with me a bring a photographer! Cue the excitement! And then the anxiety! I was really just hoping someone might read the media release and send a representative to my ribbon cutting ceremony. This was so much better! I knew it was a huge opportunity to really showcase the heart and mission of Color Her Confident! But was I ready? Well it, didn't really matter if I was or not. This was happening and I was going to make sure I was ready! We set the time and place and I lined up a client to give a "behind the scenes" peek into what I do. And in the end it was better than I ever imagined! Sheila Howard knocked it out of the park! I had met her one before at a business event and I really loved her vibe! But more than that, she really seemed to understand what I am trying to build! When She came to my office for the interview, she truly grasped the vision! She asked engaging questions, took interested in my client and made the entire process easy and fun!
